If prescription lenses are fitted, the frame is subject to the EU Directive 93/42/EEC of “medical devices”, similar to ophthalmic frames. The declaration of conformity must therefore be issued by the optician or by the laboratory that glazed the frame. We recommend the use of lenses with an anti-fog or hydrophobic treatment.
